The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced April 22, 2026, as the commencement date for the Batch ‘A’ Stream II orientation course nationwide.
In a statement issued by its Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the scheme disclosed that the 21-day exercise will be held simultaneously across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
According to the schedule, registration and reception of prospective corps members will begin on Wednesday, April 22, and end at midnight on Friday, April 24, 2026.
The swearing-in ceremony is slated for Friday, April 24, while the orientation programme will conclude on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
The NYSC advised all mobilised graduates to travel safely to their respective camps, reiterating its long-standing warning against night journeys.
“Prospective Corps Members are advised to break their journeys once it is 6:00 p.m. and pass the night at any available Corps Members’ Lodge, military formation, police station or palace of a traditional ruler before continuing the next morning,” the statement said.
