Fubara’s Presence At APC Governors’ Forum Signals New Political Undercurrents

Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, made his first public appearance at a meeting of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) held in Abuja, a development that has drawn significant political attention.

According to reports, the high-level meeting was attended by governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from across the federation.

Akwa Ibom State Governor, His Excellency Pastor Umo Eno, was also present at the forum and was seen engaging with fellow APC governors during the meeting.

Governor Fubara’s presence at the PGF was particularly noteworthy, as it marked a significant moment amid evolving sub-national political dynamics and sparked widespread interest within political circles.

The meeting provided a platform for the governors to deliberate on key national issues, including economic reforms, security challenges, infrastructure development, and enhanced collaboration between states and the Federal Government.

At the end of the engagement, the forum reaffirmed its collective commitment to good governance, unity, and the pursuit of policies aimed at promoting inclusive growth, development, and national stability.
