Reality star and entrepreneur Tasha Akide is set to make history by attempting a 24-hour makeup session for 150 individuals, aiming to set a new Guinness World Record.
The marathon session also kicks off Tasha’s Beauty Festival, scheduled for October 10–12, 2025, at the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History in Lagos. The festival will showcase talents, celebrate Nigerian culture, and empower creatives and entrepreneurs in the beauty and lifestyle industry.
Idris Aregbe, Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tourism, said on Sunday that with the level of creativity and excellence demonstrated, Nigeria can compete on the global stage.
“This is more than a record attempt; it is a statement that Nigerian creativity and excellence can compete anywhere in the world,” Aregbe said.
The festival will feature workshops, masterclasses, vendor exhibitions, business sessions, and cultural showcases, aimed at promoting local enterprises. Attendees will also have access to trainings in makeup, skincare, wellness, and fashion, creating opportunities for networking and collaboration among upcoming beauty brands and entrepreneurs.
Tasha described her Guinness World Record attempt as a celebration of Nigeria’s excellence on a global stage, encouraging young people to dream big and aim high.
