World Public Relations Forum Hosting: ‘A Celebration Of Africa’s Creativity, Diversity, Hospitality’ …NASS Endorses Nigeria’s Hosting

Prof. Justin Green, President, Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management, says Nigeria hosting the 2026 World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) is an avenue to celebrate Africa’s creativity and hospitality.

Green said this in his virtual address at the WPRF tagged ”Abuja 2026” National Unveiling in Abuja.

The event with the theme, “Responsible Communication: The Voice of the World” is organised by Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication.

Represented by the Vice President, Silvia Arto, Green said the event would be historical and an avenue to celebrate Africa’s creativity, diversity, and hospitality.

“The WPRF for the first time is coming to Africa, Abuja in Nigeria. This is historical and will highlight Africa’s global influence and communication that celebrates the continent’s creativity, diversity, and hospitality.

“The forum which is done in partnership with the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) shows the effectiveness and power of collaboration. We are confident that Nigeria will deliver.

“The world will come to Abuja to explore how communication can drive positive and responsible leadership and inclusive communities beyond the professional boundary.

“It will also showcase Nigeria’s rich culture and innovation and what will make it a truly an unforgettable experience,” Green said.

He urged communicators from across the world to join the forum in Abuja to witness the historic and inspiring moments in 2026.

He also has expressed delight, optimism, and confidence in the ability of Nigeria to host the WPRF Abuja 2026 successfully.

“See you in Abuja in 2026,” he added.

Also speaking, the President of African Public Relations Association, Mr Arik Karani, who spoke via Zoom from Nairobi, Kenya, said the 2026 forum was about responsible communication.

“We do not only exchange ideas but come together to affirm the power of communication in shaping the future of the world.

“For us, responsible communication is about communicating with clarity, accountability, and empathy. As we do this, we should focus on accuracy, respect, and the impact our words have on others.

“As we prepare to host the forum in Nigeria, note that each and every one of you carries a story. So let us tell them with clarity, conviction, and responsibly,” Karani said.

Meanwhile, the Senate Arm of the 10th National Assembly has endorsed Nigeria’s hosting of the forthcoming World Public Relations Forum (WPRF), tagged ”Abuja 2026” and commended the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).

The Chairman Senate Committee on Capital Market, Sen. Osita Izunaso endorsed the forthcoming event at the unveiling of the WPRF Abuja 2026 ceremony in Abuja.

The event is organised by Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management in partnership with NIPR.

Izunaso assured that the Senate President, Sen. Godswill Akpabio and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rep Tajudeen Abbas, would attend the event.

According to him, the event has the potential to project the good image of Nigeria to the international community.

He explained that since the event would hold at the Eagle Square, it would be a thing of pride if the Federal Secretariat was given a face lift to showcase the true beautiful image of Nigeria.

The lawmaker also tasked the Minister of Aviation, Mr Festus Keyamo to ensure that officers of the Nigerian Custom Service and other officials at the airport put on the true patriotic Nigerian behaviour characterised by love, honesty, sincerity, hospitality and humility.

“These are some of the areas that I would like you to address, because people are coming in from outside the country.

“I must commend the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris for the love and concern he had showed to NIPR. Nobody has shown that love before.

“Idris is the engine room of NIPR, and I urge you to showcase Nigeria as a nation, come November 2026,” Izunaso said.
